LOVED this - the actors are famous now for a reason! - jenottawa
OK, so Wes Craven for the screenplay, Kristen Davis (if you haven't seen her viral sloth video, check it out on YouTube and try NOT to love her), Ian Smolderholder (F**king HOT!!!!) - dark hair and blues eyes that don't quit, Brad Dourif from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer. What's not to like! Very creepy and jolting, no serial killer slasher crap (let's face it, we can hear about those kinds of monsters in real life and who needs to get entertainment out of it on-screen) - the supernatural is SO much better (Paranormal Activity anyone)? And almost a Walking Dead way of thinking in the end, which I could appreciate vicerally. Sure, it wasn't high-end in the budget department, but I LOVED it. A great deal of fun in the middle of the night. :)Not THAT Bad - Jake_Fiction
I think some reviews of this film mayb be a little harsh. I found the film to be decent and really couldn't point out any glaring faults if I had to. While the plot was well thought out, it did progress a little slowly for my tastes. I thought the shift from horror to science fiction near the end of the movie was a nice change in an otherwise predictable story. I would recommend this movie to anyone taking a sick day from work, but I wouldn't recommend putting it at the top of your ziplist.I Lost My Pulse. .. ... .------Flatline Boring - Blanco
Ok, I'll merit that the idea was interesting (although kinda reminiscent of past flicks like The Ring)... ghosts attacking the human race through previously untapped frequencies(for this I give 1 star; I don't like giving a no star rating because of the fact that I feel like I've completely wasted a small portion of my natural life watching the movie). This idea could've probably been done a lot better with a better cast and a more creative storyline. The movie failed to convey a sense of horror or suspense through most of the film. Some of the "ghost" animation was well done, but in a movie that fails to pull the viewer in, the eye candy isn't enough to bribe us kids into the car. Honestly, I'd recommend looking at the movie cover...Ok, have you looked at it...see now you only wasted 5 sec of your life and not 2hrs. Wow, I just wasted another 5 min of my life writing this review; well if it keeps anyone else out there from flat lining due to boredom then its worth it. ... .. ..... ...
