Jimmy Dean, who immortalized Big Bad John in his classi ballad, stars as Cletus Morgan, a square=jawed, incorruptible sherrif who has been hired to track down an accused kidnapper named Big Bad John (Doug English). He embarks on a desperate chase that leads him through several states and even more death defying encounters. Veteran Western director Burt Kennedy (Support Your Local Sheriff, The War Wagon) helms, and Ned Beatty, Bo Hopkins, John Ireland and Jack Elam costar.
