As a child of the 90s, I always remember watching Family Channel and loving Goof Troop. I even owned the game for Super Nintendo. The show wasn't anything super special, but it holds a place in my heart. The show revolves around the Goofs (Max and his dad Goofy), along with their neighbours the Pete family (PJ, Pistol, Peg, and Pete). Hijinks ensue throughout the varying episodes and a great movie (A Goofy Movie) and sequel followed.
Volume 1 contains the episodes:
Slightly Dinghy - Max learns that there is a hidden treasure located at sea in their town, so he and PJ trick their fathers into taking them fishing in order to get the gold... Of course, nothing goes according to plan.
Wrecks, Lies & Videotape - Upon watching his favourite show, Max learns that he can win a $10,000 Hawaiian vacation for sending in a videotape of his dad getting hurt doing stupid things. Pete volunteers to help him out, but has ulterior motives.
Shake, Rattle & Goof - Max and PJ decide they want to start up their own rock and roll band. Goofy is all willing to help them out, while Pete sends in their audition tape to a local business, hoping the boys get rejected. Things don't work out for Pete when the owner is more than willing to sign the boys, only to earn mega bucks and swindle them.
I was hoping there would be more content on the DVD as the episodes are only around 20 minutes each and easily could have had 3 more. Zip doesn't seem to have any other volumes of the show out, but hopefully they will be available soon.
