A Pair Of Lewis Black Shorts
Sidesplitters: The Burt & Dick Story
Lock up your daughters! Close the windows! Put the little ones to bed and get ready to laugh at this bawdy biography of Big Burt (Lewis Black) and Little Dick (Jim Norton), the filthiest comedy team in the history of show biz. From vaudeville to cartoon shows Sidesplitters: The Burt & Dick Story chronicles their rise from relative obscurity to greater obscurity before finally retiring into total obscurity. (23 min.)
The Gynecologists
Open wide and say ha... from the director that brought you the classic Beastie Boys Fight For Your Right To Party music video comes The Gynecologists. Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the stirrups, comes this insane comic farce. Comedian Bobby Baker (Pete Correale) and his manager Chick Larkin (Greg Fitzsimmons) are on the run from gangster Cookie LaMotte (Lewis Black) because Bobby did some "stand up" for Cookie's daughter that was not in his act. And she's only sixteen! The boys duck into a nearby medical clinic and before you can say "pass the forceps," they're mistaken for the new gynecologists. They had no idea what they were getting into! if this were original, rather than just filthy, it might have some redeeming merits. Unfortunately, it bites. Who would believe someone as funny as Lewis BLack would be as short of material as to release this flaming piece of garbage??? I wonder how many years it will take for him to live this crap down ... ?A total waste - punkass
Being a huge Lewis Black fan, I thought this might be good. Well I was wrong. A horrible waste of time and a waste of a rental. I suggest renting something to do with his stand up routine. I didn't laugh once and I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing.Stay AWAY - Mimglow
Wow, I used to love Lewis Black, but after watching this I must admit my opinion of him has dropped a few rungs down the ladder. I don't think I laughed once throughout the entirety of both shorts. I suppose I should be grateful they were short films, because I'd feel guilty about wasting more than 35 minutes on this when I could have been doing something more productive - like counting the poppy seeds on my bagel.
