Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector
They'll give anyone a badge.
Sporting a cut-off flannel shirt and armed with a truckload of one-liners, Larry the Cable Guy is America's reigning king of blue-collar comedy. Now, after two #1 comedy tours (out-selling both Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock), two hit concert films, a best-selling book, two chart-topping comedy albums and a multi-platinum DVD special, Larry makes his feature film debut in the outrageous comedy, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector.
Irreverent as ever, Larry plays a big city health inspector who's happy with his usual beat of greasy spoon diners and low-rent ethnic restaurants. But his easygoing life is turned upside-down when he's saddled with a straight-arrow rookie partner (Iris Bahr) and assigned the biggest case of his career: investigating an outbreak of mysterious food poisonings at the city's swankiest restaurants. Infuriating restaurateurs with his bad manners, Larry still manages to charm a sweet, shy waitress (Megyn Price) into a budding romance. But when his unorthodox methods cost him his job, Larry has to go undercover to bring the conspirators to justice and 'Git-R-Done!'
A hilarious comedy in the vein of There's Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber and chock-full of Larry the Cable Guy's trademark, take-no-prisoners humor, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector marks the arrival of a new low-brow hero.

I guess one thing that people have to understand about this type of movie is that it's portraying a part of society that does exist. If you've watched the comedy tour and liked it - you will like this. Although the movie wasn't that great - it did do a good job of living true to the humour in this interesting part of society. Not very funny - betbjork
I rented this movie because it was supposed to be hilarious. Instead I saw a bunch of fart jokes and crude humour. There were maybe four moments where I smiled but not once did I laugh.
If you enjoy fart jokes then rent this, if you want to laugh at something funny then get some stand-up material by Larry.Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector - tinsel_294
This has got to be the worst so called " comedy" I have experienced besides Ground Hog Day in its dull-witted,repetitious humor. Larry, the Cable Guy: Health Inspector was so full of extra loud, bodily function sounds it was disgusting beyond being the least bit funny. The acting was terrible, the story had no substance whatsoever and I suspect it would only appeal to those guys who sit around in trailer parks watching " Those Guys"! This was a total waste of time !.. If I could give it a minus star, I would! Also seems actresses like Joanna Cassidy are pretty hard up to even appear in something like this.. Can't they find something better to belittle themselves in?
