Suspenseful Psychological Thriller - newdaysof
Irresistible is an edge-of-your-seat psychological thriller that keeps you guessing until the last minute. The script is well written with good dialogue and characters and deals with real human problems, fears and emotions.
The superb cast includes the handsome and charismatic Sam Neill, who is one of my favourite actors. Susan Sarandon is excellent in the role of mother and artist and she plays the emotional roller-coaster ride of her character with great depth and sincerity. And the up and coming young actress Emily Blunt is simply drop-dead gorgeous with incredibly penetrating and hypnotic eyes, a perfect face and body and fine acting skills.
It is refreshing to see a film shot and produced outside of the Hollywood sphere for a change - filmed in Australia using mostly an Aussie cast and crew, it is a credit to their film industry. The directing, editing, photography and locations are all top notch. Hopefully there will a lot more Aussie films of this calibre in the future.
