Dark Tales of Japan
Five frightening features from Japan's best horror directors.
Collated by infamous Japanese producer Taka Ichise (The Ring and Dark Water), this collection of short horror films draws on the work of some talented directors. Hideo Nakata (The Ring), Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge), and Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Cure) are among the contributors who bring some shocking tales to life. The five horrifying episodes on one disc include "The Spiderwoman," "Crevices," "The Sacrifice," "Blond Kwaldan," and "Presentiment."

Too short and choppy - Jujubes
I have seen most of this series by now and these are just way too short. Most of the tales in the DVD are no longer than 10-15 minutes, with few exceptions. I think the longest one was about 35 minutes.
The tales would have served really well in a book or something (some are scary) but too short to turn into a snippet in a movie. Some of them could have been expanded a little more and made a full length feature movie too, what a shame.
