Brother Minister: The Assassination of Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik Shabazz)
"Brother Minister has renewed questions about the assassination.." - USA Today
Brother Minister is the explosive and mesmerizing documentary that dares reveal the mystery surrounding the assassination of Malcolm X, a truly American hero. It probes the innocence of two of the convicted assassins, reveals the true identities of the killers, examines the FBI and NYPD clandestine roles in the assassination through recently de-classified documents, and discovers the secret origin of the Nation of Islam and its political and religious legacy in America.

Gripping and powerful documentary - AvidOscarBee
Whether you are a fan of Malcolm X or not, this is a film that you should not overlook renting.
In a few sound bites, this documentary is a very brave attempt to show live archive footage of Malcolm X as well as various interviews by those who lived at that time and knew him personally and/or worked along side him. His wife is also interviewed and she gives her opinion as to who she believes killed her husband.
A combination of colour and black and white film keeps the film authentic and the tempo is both engaging and keeps you fully gripped. Because Louis Farakan and other black muslim extremists felt that Malcolm X was going down the wrong pathway because he was meeting frequently with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in addition to his public withdrawal from Elijah Mohammed's organization, he was considered a viable threat that needed to be extinguished.
There are many unanswered questions in this film but I don't believe it was made to answer them, but to get your thinking for yourself about the events that took place in 1965 amidst the Civil Rights Movement.
A film worth watching in my humble opinion. Enjoy!
