Everything changed in the wink of an eye.
Ashley (Lindsay Lohan), a young professional just out of college, happens to be the luckiest woman in the world. She's lived a super-charmed life and has always taken her good luck for granted. When she kisses a handsome stranger (Chris Pine) at a costume party, Ashley accidentally swaps her good fortune for his horribly bad luck, and her charmed life turns into a living hell.

a movie to take your mind off serious things - tlefrancois
I thought it was a great escape from all the negativity. I laughed and smiled at parts. Sure, it was no blockbuster! But I don't think it was meant to be... it's a kind of feel-good flick that everyone ought to see once in a while. It was very romantic!
For those people who keep claiming that it was a lousy movie need to lighten up a bit. We all need a little bit of magic once in a while and the negativity kind of brings me down. Go see the film.. enjoy it.. it's shallow but it's fun. Don't try to take any hidden meaning out of it... but enjoy the simplicity.
Oh, and by the way, this is the only Lindsay Lohan movie that I thought was any good.There's better girlie movies out there. - movie_junkie
Not the best chick flick out there. Her earlier movies were more fun to watch and had better plots. The movie was all fluff and didn't offer much of anything. She's lucky, she looses her luck, she gets it back. That's about it...we get it. I kept waiting to see if the movie would get any better but it pretty much stayed the same. I think I enjoyed the music from the featured band better than the movie itself.Cute movie! - jdegrood
This was a good girly movie. It was funny, romantic, and was enjoyable to watch. I would recommend it to someone not looking for something to wow you but for someone just wanting an enjoyable movie.
The only thing I didn't enjoy about it was that it was fairly predictable. But I guess that could be the fault of the previews or maybe that is just the type of movie it is. It is a good movie for all ages.
