The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
On the streets of Tokyo, speed needs no translation.
Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) is an outsider who attempts to define himself as a hot-headed, underdog street racer. Although racing provides a temporary escape from an unhappy home and the superficial world around him, it has also made Sean unpopular with the local authorities. To avoid jail time, Sean is sent to live with his gruff, estranged father, a career military-man stationed in Tokyo.
Now officially a gaijin (outsider), Sean feels even more shut out in a land of foreign customs and codes of honor. But it doesn't take long for him to find some action when a fellow American buddy, Twinkie (Bow Wow), introduces him to the underground world of drift racing. Sean's simple drag racing gets replaced by a rubber-burning, automotive art form--with an exhilarating balance of speeding and gliding through a heart-stopping course of hairpin turns and switchbacks.
On his first time out drifting, Sean unknowingly takes on D.K., the "Drift King," a local champ with ties to the Japanese crime machine Yakuza. Sean's loss comes at a high price tag when he's forced to work off the debt under the thumb of ex-pat, Han (Sung Kang). Han soon welcomes Sean into this family of misfits and introduces him to the real principles of drifting. But when Sean falls for D.K.'s girlfriend, Neela (Nathalie Kelley), an explosive series of events is set into motion, climaxing with an ultimate high stakes face off.

The writers of this series of fast and furious have written a predicdable movie and when Vin Diesel shows up finally in the movie there is real excitement and up until then there is the same old same old in the story line but they should stop writing for they are running out of a story to write about and what I find missing in the lasr movies is the lack of police car chases after all there are traffic cams all over the place and no cops in site. I'm anxious in a way to see if Fast Five in the theatres is better. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - Jana1130
Good movie overall, it was nice that they changed up the scenery and took it to Tokyo. Mostly unknown cast with a few exceptions, but it was enjoyable to watch. Really no need to see the first two, you can still watch this as a solo movie and understand most of it.Driftin! - mistyk1313
I was more impressed with the story in this one, no cheesy undercover cop thing... just a troubled kid (who looked way older than he was supposed to be) and a whole lot of trouble! I was disappointed by the way they showcased the cars... they didn't really. They could have made them look so much better, shown their lines a bit more... anything really. It was all about the racing, I want to see those cars slow mo as they drift around those corners, gleaming and all pretty! oh well, still agood movie :D Look for a cameo from someone who was in another F&F movie... - Jeans
