Minotaur
Curse the God. Slay the Beast.
In an Iron Age village eight youths must be sacrificed every five years to a bloodthirsty monster, the Minotaur. Seen as a god, the offerings are lowered into the Minotaur's vast labyrinth beneath the palace to face the beast... and their death. When his love is lost to the sacrifice, Theo believes she is still alive and sets off to the palace intent on killing the evil bull-god.

One of the cheesiest movies I've seen as of late. My better judgement should have prevented me from watching this schlock, but alas, my love of Greek mythology beckoned otherwise. Poorly acted and directed with special effects I'm sure high school students could put to shame. Abysmal.Loved it - Jirataur
I'm likely going to be torn apart by the rave review I'm about to give this movie, but you know what? I have a soft spot for stupid monster movies, and MINOTAUR definitely touched down on that soft spot. You have your opinion, I have mine, and frankly, I have a very good opinion of this flick.
The effects are great for a TV movie, the Minotaur itself looks great, although its more of a giant zombie bull than a bull/human hybrid, the acting is decent, especially the performance by genre vet Tony Todd (CANDY MAN, the direction is a tad poor at times, but whatever, and the script is slightly above-average for this kind of film.
Really the only bad thing that can be said about MINOTAUR is the fact that in two scenes wires holding up actors are clearly visible. So my only qualm with the film is that its poorly edited. Still, if you have a thing for cheesy monster movies like me, then check out MINOTAUR.Minotaur - MTH1
Insofar as movies go, I would rate this below even TV's "movie of the week". The production quality and special effects are similar to something out of a Canadian movie, circa 1970's. It is also extremely grainy. The characters are stiff, cheesy and unbelievable. The plot is completely predictable. The horror sequences were so bad that some of them were actually funny. In the end, I was not prepared to give another hour of my life so I turned it off.
Not worth a star but I don't seem to have the option of giving it none.
