Invincible
In 1976, a 30-year-old bartender who played only one year of high school football, tried to become the NFL's most unlikely rookie.
Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg), a down-on-his-luck teacher and part-time bartender, lives every fan’s fantasy of moving from the stands to the field when he makes it onto his hometown’s professional football team during an open tryout.
Inspired by a true story.

There are some solid performances by Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear. Invincible may not do anything new, but it manages to a worthwhile view nonetheless. A well made film that can inspire anyone.
The acting is fairly good, and the story is still very engaging despite it's the type of story we've seen a hundred times before. The film does manage to make the viewer root for Vince Papale as realizes his dream and you feel good by the time the credits role. But like I said, it navigates the usual territory that all "inspiring' films take. The film is unfortunately predictable, and you know right off the bat that it will end on a high note.Good, not great - Spokes
I enjoyed this movie; with it being a true story I wanted to see it. I like to watch hollywood's take and the nsee the real deal. It was worth the watch, but it wasn't a can't miss kind of movie.
They do a good job of keeping you in the story most of the movie and even though you know he'll make it you find yourself watching to see when he does. Not a bad movie to rent if you enjoy football flicks.Great movie - kstar0327
This is by no means an original story, the regular guy from a regular neighborhood who makes good on his dreams. However, that IS what makes the movie original, that it was based on a true story, that the movie didn't portray the main character as perfect and someone who just hadn't gotten a break. This is a story of a guy who was good, who had a life, and who tried for something a bit higher and reached it. What I found most appealing about the movie was that it was so subdued in the portrayal that it almost made me forget it was based on a true story.
