10.5: Apocalypse
There's no escaping Mother Nature.
Another massive 10.5 quake tears apart the West Coast, threatening to turn the American landscape into a hellish wasteland. Seismologist Samantha Hill sees an even greater threat: an ever-widening fault line that's heading straight for the country's two largest nuclear reactors. If meltdown occurs, millions will die. Samantha and the American president (Beau Bridges) agree only one man can help them - the scientist who predicted this terrifying natural disaster years before - Samantha's own father, Dr. Earl Hill (Frank Langella), now counted as a possible casualty of a massive Las Vegas quake. Together with a crack rescue team including Brad (Dean Cain) and Will (Oliver Hudson), Samantha must find her father and stop the fault from slicing uncontrollably toward millions of people and the ultimate nuclear apocalypse.

Rather average disaster mini-series - Coconut_Willy
I have seen many 'made for television' mini-series that were a lot worse than this one but, that still does not make it good. The storyline and its development is as cliché as it gets going even as far as lifting plot elements directly from past features like the Poseidon Adventure for example. It does include some fairly interesting characters but some of the cast were obviously not interested in delivering a good performance. If you ignore its extreme predictability though, this show is well presented. The special effects are certainly not top notch but they are quite good for a television feature. The sets and locations are good enough, the soundtrack is appropriate but the camera work is indeed quite annoying; the constant rapid zoom effects might even make you sick. If you like disaster movies, you should enjoy this one even though it is certainly not a very good one.Lame, lame, lame - JWDad
The acting is terrible, the plot is lame and the story line includes virtually every Hollywood disaster film cliche. What more can I say?
This appears to be a quick hack job intended to fill in a blank time slot in the network's schedule.
Avoid at all costs.Pretty good TV mini-series - ktravis
As a sequel to 10.5, this mini-series coincides well with the whole near-apocalyptic theme. Over half the show you can definitely tell the blue screens and CGI areas, but the effects they put into the show were still quite impressive in what was done (in a TV show sort of way). At times the show was gripping, at other times emotional. No doubt about it, though, the show was quite involved and more or less action packed from start to finish. I'm glad I watched it, but I wouldn't consider it a buyer.
