Ju-On 2
From the creators of Ringu comes the next instalment of the Japanese horror classic that spawned the American remake, The Grudge.
Tragedy strikes when Kyoko loses her unborn child in a car crash. Not long after the accident, Kyoko feels something moving inside her. To her surprise, a doctor assures her that she is still pregnant... but with what? Only years later, upon revisiting the terrible night, is the horrific true nature and origin of the spirit exposed.

Ju-On 2 bears no similarity whatsoever to its US counterpart. Told through various characters perspectives (and as a result out of sequence timelines, Tomoka & Chiharu in particular are really confusing on first viewing) might leave some scratching thier heads at the Japanese obsession with complicated plotlines. Some characters are even killed then show up in the very next scene (Tomoka introducing Megumi) as thier is no linear timeline. Also scenes from Grudge 1 & 3 are shown in this film.
The film starts off with Harase Kyoko and Masashi driving home one night. The female is an actress in horror flicks who is pregnant. They run over the weird kids cat (?) and the weird kid causes them to crash, killing thier unborn baby and putting something else inside Kyoko.
Masashi is in a coma and Kyoko goes back to work, during filming of a movie one of the extras (Chiharu) starts freaking out after seeing Kyoko is pregnant. Kyoko sees the kid again that night who apparently kills her mother.
Tomoka and Noritaka both have a sense of deja vu as they see/hear thier futures before they actually happen (watch for many small clues, like the teacup)The creepy kid strikes again! - TMFan
Ju-on 2 is the sequal to the original Ju-on: the Grudge from Japan and by now Takashi Shimizu's series that includes a handful of films if you count the initial direct-to-video releases and American versions, is starting to become repetitive and tiresome as the concept is no longer fresh anymore. After the Japanese Ring, Ju-on was probably the most interesting and creative Asian franchise of horror films and Shimizu does borrow again from Hideo Nakata but he is a skilled director and makes use of creative ideas here and there. I think I actually liked part 2 a little bit more than the first but that may be because I'm more used to his directorial style after watching Ju-on and The Grudge so I found this movie easier to follow and less disjointed than the others.
Ju-On 2 is relatively bloodless like all Ju-on films so gore fans won't find much here. But again there are some creepy scenes, fractured narratives and supernatural elements (including the creepy boy of course) which should appeal to intelligent and atmospheric horror enthusiasts.
