This film had one redeeming quality - it provided a nice architectural tour of some beautiful old buildings in Russia. That's it.
A mother has been searching for her son for ten years. The last time she saw him, they had a fight about his going to college, and he stormed out. Is he dead? Is he in hiding from his family? We're given no good reason why he would do the later, but his mother is convinced this is the case.
So far, this isn't a terrible set up....but this film soon gets kind of dumb, and just gets progressively more stupid until the underwhelming reveal.
Lots of heavy foreshadowing reveals much of what is to come early on, but the actual final twist actually did keep me guessing - probably because it was so lame, I never would have predicted it.
