The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Unrated: Too Shocking for Theatres
Witness the Birth of Fear
On one last road trip before they're sent to serve in Vietnam, two friends (Taylor Handley, Matthew Bomer) and their girlfriends (Diora Baird, Jordana Brewster) get into an accident that calls their local sheriff (R. Lee Ermey) to the scene. Thus begins a terrifying experience where the teens are taken to a secluded house of horrors, where a young, would-be killer is being nurtured.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a decent movie but I found myself getting mad the whole time. The group of kids who get killed are completely stupid – not survival skills whatsoever. There also wasn’t much presented in the way of motivation for Charlie Hewitt to suddenly become a murderer and how he so easily had his family fall in step.Re-Hashed - Countryman
I had this on my ziplist, basically as filler for weeks I may not get something. In retrospect I should have just left it off.
The plot is basically the same as the first re-make, just with the addition of new lamb to the slaughter and adding in a couple of scenes that "explain" the family Personally I didn't feel an explanation was needed and the movie comes out as a bland money grab.
That being said, it's on par with most of the remakes Hollywood is churning out, so if you're just looking to get your fill of ol’ leatherface, this movie might do the trick – but I would stick with the '74 version.Gore fest! - RavenSkies777
TCM The Beginning is gory and disturbing. It's dark and terrifying. Anyone who loves a good slasher with bucket loads of blood and guts will for sure enjoy this film. It's a fun adaptation of the original story and is full of screams and edge of your seat terror.
