When Alex (Dan Turgeman) sets out on a secret Mossad mission, he meets and falls in love with Thea (Mili Avital), a woman who is a generation younger than him, but who has a mysterious pull on his life.

Although danger keeps them apart, Alex becomes Thea's secret admirer, sending her letters and music, which capture her heart. Each letter offers a clue to Alex's identity and Thea seeks him out amont her admirers.

In the false belief that she has found him, she becomes engaged to Nicos (George Corraface), a Spanish professor who is enraptured by her grace and beauty. The relationship between them deepens and grows.

Meanwhile, Alex struggles to break free from his world of shadows, believing that only Thea's love will make him fully human.
