Happy Feet
Warning: May Cause Toe-Tapping
Into the land of Emperor Penguins, where each needs a heart song to attract a soul mate, a penguin is born who cannot sing. Our hero Mumble, son of Memphis and Norma Jean, is the worst singer in the world...however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer!

A great movie for the whole family, a wonderful sound track and adult humor that is family appropriate.
It is a great movie to rent, but if you have kids under the age of ten you will really want to look at just buying this movie and adding it to your collection. Far better then the 2nd one that is out as well.
You will not be UNHAPPY that you picked this selection.Cute but a little ... fluffy - Penn&Denn
So many people raved about what a great show this was, with the music and the animation etc. And it was pretty well made, but I have to say that it didn't really raise the bar above where other quality animated films have already reached. All of the musical numbers were covers, and seeemed a little artificial. The "eco-friendly" message at the end was well intended but came across as a little bit saccharine. Not a horrible film but the best I can say is it was so-so.A heart-warming, coming of age tale for the whole family - movienut68
An all-star cast lends their voices to the new Warner Brothers film titled Happy Feet. The ensemble includes Elijah Wood, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Brittany Murphy and of course Robin Williams (twice). The story follows Mumble, a penguin without a heart song, on his quest to find himself. Just like many other animated pictures, it teaches children that it’s okay to be different and to refuse to compromise. For those of us that are not in elementary, Happy Feet is just a funny light-hearted movie that can be enjoyed by anyone. There may have been three and four year-olds in the audience, but there were also adults who were laughing along with them.
The best characters were those of the “Amigos”, a group of Argentinean penguins (figure that one out) voiced by four Latino comics and Robin Williams (also kind of strange). It is a good thing that Robin Williams is a talented impressionist or he would have been really out of place in the studio. Other out of place penguins were Memphis, who channels Elvis Presley, and Noah the Elder, who is a Scottish Puritan. I guess that the writers didn’t care that penguins live in Antarctica. On the other hand, nit picking about what a penguin’s accent should be doesn’t make a whole lot of sense either. Over all, the movie was so “fish” (watch the movie and you’ll get it). I definitely recommend this one.
