A Slight Case of Murder
Homicide. Seduction. Betrayal. The classics never go out of style.

Laura Penney accidentally fell in her apartment and died. Or perhaps she was pushed. Just a little. Either way, on-air film critic Terry Thorpe figures he's Suspect #1 because he was there. But maybe he's seen enough crime movies to bamboozle the cops.

Two-time Emmy Award winner William H. Macy plays Thorpe in this delicious caper based on a novel by bestselling thriller writer Donald E. Westlake. With seat-of-the-pants desperation, Thorpe skims the hurdles of his perfect crime. Among the hurdles: a detective (Adam Arkin) eager to slip his screenplay to the critic, a girlfriend (Desperate Housewives' Felicity Huffman) with gnawing suspicions and a private investigator (James Cromwell) who puts the squeeze on for $35K. Thorpe should get every acting honor in the world if he pulls it off. Or maybe he'll just get 30 to life.
