The Legend of Lucy Keyes
250 years a go a child disappeared. Tonight she returns.
Based on the true story of the disappearance of a young girl from Wachusett Mountain, Massachusetts in 1755, The Legend of Lucy Keyes is a supernatural thriller in which a normal family is forced to struggle with the paranormal.
Guy and Jeanne Cooley have moved with their children, Molly and Lucy, from the city to a small town, having just suffered the devastating loss of their youngest child. Guy is embarking on a wind farm project that requires the townspeople to approve construction on the land where Lucy Keyes disappeared and on which the spirit of her mother is believed to still wander.
The story carefully builds as the complex web of relationships between the townspeople and their connection to Lucy Keyes is revealed. We are never sure whether the locals are friendly, conniving, eccentric or truly dangerous. And how are the fates of Lucy Cooley and Lucy Keyes intertwined?

Waste of great acting talents - Nijzen
I rented this movie because of the presence of Justin Theroux, ignorant that it was made for television or a direct-to-video release. This movie also contains the pretty face of talented french actress Julie Delpy and the amazing Margot Kidder. Even though the movie is based on true events, it is put together as a run of the mill ghost story with all the clichés you could think of. Seriously. All of them. The only good thing was the great chemistry of Justin Theroux and Julie Delpy as the couple who just lost their youngest child in a car accident. Their performance is flawless and they really look good together. Margot Kidder as the villainness is also interesting but unfortunately her role is quite minor and we don't get to enjoy her presence very much. I don't suggest it except if you are a fan of these actors, and even they can't salvage such a poorly made movie.Nice tale based on truths - MovieFairy
The Legend of Lucy Keyes is based on an actual event: the disappearance of a young child in western Massachusetts in the 1700s ,shot on a shoestring budget ,the director did a great job with unraveling the story through flashbacks for the 1700 ,the film is set in modern day ,great tale .
