LOVED HELEN HAYES! - Whirlwind
As usual, Helen Hayes provides the spunk needed to give any movie enjoyment. If you like Agatha Christie, you'll enjoy this one. Good story, lots of little details you have to be alert to in figuring out "who did it". Also enjoyed John Mills in this one. Notice a young Tim Roth in here, plays a "loose cannon" character but is a key figure to the story.Charming Miss Marple - Bumblebee
If you generally enjoy Agatha Christie mysteries and particularly enjoy Miss Marple... this movie adaptation does not disappoint! Helen Hayes is charming as ever and the all-star cast is wonderful!
The film version is faithful to Christie's novel and the actors are equally faithful to the characters in their portrayal.
I was surprised that my teenage daughter was charmed by this old lady! She actually said she found Miss Marple adorable and wished to see another movie with her! In this day and age where a mystery usually involves graphic violence and plenty of gore... this is a refreshing step back into the past. Not up to scratch - Sooze
An Agatha Christie movie generally means a good couple of hours of entertainment. Not so with this adaptation of Murder with Mirrors. Surprising really - with a star studded cast including Bette Davies and John Mills one would have expected better. The acting was stilted - the action slow and I am afraid we slept through most of it!
