Catch and Release
After the sudden death of her fiance, Gray Wheeler (Garner) finds comfort in the company of his friends: lighthearted and comic Sam (Kevin Smith), hyper responsible Dennis (Sam Jager) and, oddly enough, his old childhood buddy Fritz (Timothy Olyphant), an irresponsible playboy whom she'd previously pegged as one of the least reliable people in the world. As secrets about her supposedly perfect fiance emerge, Gray comes to see new sides of the man she though she knew, and at the same time, finds herself drawn to the last man she ever expected to fall for.

Catch and Release is a frothy, feel good romcom, Note: it's clear that without Jennifer Garner they'd have never been able to transfer the dung into gold niblets. It's tenatious flare and grand sceme makes for a great storyline.
When i think of Bad Canadian talent Kevin Smith quickly comes to mind. However Smith has amazed me with this hidden gem. The Cameraman proudly used the the Canadian Rockies and BC Extrodinary landscape. Reminding us what are country has to offer.NOT agood movie - jewels3434
Predictable, cheesy, boring, far fetched, dumb, bad acting, and plenty more. What a waste of time watching this movie. It was all of the things i said above and more. I like romantic comedies usually but i dont even know if this is one. not a comedy and not romantic so i guess it isn't. than what the heck is it? besides bad?Go Fish! - SCamilucci
I have really been into a lot of Kevin Smith stuff lately, so I took the opportunity to check out Catch & Release. I have been meaning to view this flick for a while.
Now although I am probably pretty biased, what with my man-love for Silent Bob and all, but I still thought he did a very decent job. As for the rest of the movie, it really wasn't anything remarkable. But that's not a bad thing. There was no moments that were memorable, no great visuals, nothing wrong with the story or dialogue, it was just a movie and stuff happened.
The movie was similar to the card game Go Fish (actual I think War would be more appropriate, and I dig it more, but then it would have the same word play) . A nice easy game, that doesn't take much effort or concentration. There is not much to brag about in the end but your not disappointed for playing.
So that's it, I really have nothing to say about this movie. Was it bad, was it Good - m'eh! (wow aren't you glad you don't have to pay for this review)
For any Kevin Smith fan this is a 3.0
Otherwise its a solid 2.0
