The Invisible
Together they must solve his murder... before it's too late.
When a teenager is attacked and left for dead, he finds himself in limbo, invisible to the living, and racing against time to find his body before he truly perishes. The only living person who might be able to save him is his attacker, a troubled girl who is on the run from the law.

This film is a mess - sort of a surf & turf mash up of Rivers Edge and Ghost - that takes way too long to introduce its supernatural element, then uses it to spring lame gags on us - like having the ghost character leap on the hoods of cars as a Boo! Gotcha! moment.
This film mustve been a nightmare for Justin Chatwin - he spends the last 2/3 of the movie yelling at people and telling lame jokes, and not having anyone hear him, including me in the audience. And the reason for that is Margarita Levieva as the bad girl, Anne. Her performance is so fierce, vulnerable and wounded, I wanted the movie to be about her, and lets just forget about that kid dying down there in the sewer. She brings way more to this film than anyone else, and she steals the show.
I'm sure if I saw her on the street, she wouldnt see me, and for that I can feel the main characters pain.An uneven disaster - eoguy
Though technically competent through and through, the script for The Invisible is a huge mess that stumbles from the get-go and never recovers.
With plotholes galore and explanations thrown to the wayside, I think a lot of people will confuse The Invisible as being far deeper than it actually is because it's full of ambiguities and misdirection. The conept is based very loosely on a book that was turned into a Swedish film of the same name (one that Zip doesn't carry).
Aside from the plotline, part of which was ditched when the MPAA threatened to give it an R-rating, the movie seems lost between a serious adult drama and a cliche teen thriller. It only acheives being a muddled genre film that never finds a groove and sends a overly symbolic but mixed message by the end.
Overall, I found this movie pretty frustrating. Add to that the fact it was shot in Burnaby, B.C. and the filmmakers opted to create a fictional Burnaby, Washington so they didn't have to change some of the signs. Seriously??!?!?A glimpse into the slippery slope of teenagehood - ahann097
I thought this movie was fantastic for showing the repercussions of stupid decisions made while being a teenager. When we were young, we never realized how much of an impact any of our choices would have on the rest of the world. To think that a troubled teenager can end the life of another in such a quick, and rash choice, is scary and very plausible in real life.
This movie showed that a person can redeem themselves by making the right choice, but unfortunately, a lot of lives are lost before a person is faced with hitting rock bottom, at which point they turn their lives around. In movie land, a life is usually saved, but in the real world, it is usually too late...
