The Amazing Screw-On Head
In this hilarious send-up of Lovecraftian horror and steampunk adventure, President Abraham Lincoln's top spy is a bodiless head known only as Screw-On Head (Paul Giamatti). When arch-fiend Emperor Zombie (David Hyde Pierce) steals an artefact that will enable him to threaten all life on Earth, the task of stopping him is assigned to Screw-on Head. Fortunately, Screw-On Head is not alone on this perilous quest. He is aided by his multitalented manservant, Mr. Groin, and by his talking canine cohort, Mr. Dog. Can this unorthodox trio stop Emperor Zombie in time? Does Screw-On Head have a body awesome enough to stop the horrors that have been unleashed? Where can we get a talking dog? All these questions (O.K., maybe not that last one) are answered by the thrilling tale of The Amazing Screw-On Head! Based on the award-winning comic book by Mike Mignola, creator of Hellboy.

The animation style is quite interesting. That's the good part.
Unfortunately all the characters were rather snooty and tiresome except for the man servant Groin. Though naming a character Groin is an example of the weak humour. Part of the blame can probably come from trying to introduce too many characters and their history in 22 minutes. I can see why it never became a series.
That being said I will probably look up the comic soon. It is probably better paced.Great pilot! - davor
This was a very funny pilot to a show that will not come to be. Great cast that does a great job. Great style and animation.
Very funny set of events, and totally out there. Would have been great to see this pull through and become and actual show, even a mini series of some sort. If it had any chances of life it would have been on Sci-fi channel, but alas, didn't seem to happen.
Absolutely check this out if you like off and dark humour, and top notch animation.Horrifically Hilarious - Megasteakman
This short has some serious style. It's a really unique steam-punk, horror, comedy... although probably mostly comedy. There's something incredible funny in the non-chalent delivery of the villains. A few really great lines and delivery. The only thing is that I wish there were more episodes.
