Eh, it's okay. - moviegenius
This movie is okay. It's not great. I think that when I read what the kids were doing in the book, it was more real. In the movie, it was cool, but I don't know. It just seemed like an okay movie to me and that there's nothing really special. A guy runs, he meets a girl, makes up a fairytale land with her and some other stuff happens and then poof, the end. So, the kids might like it, but I'm not sure what the adults will think.Great family flick - cement3
Bridge to Terabithia is perfect for the family. It is enjoyable and entertaining without being totally pointless. It deals with a lot of difficult issues, such as bullying, family tensions, spirituality and death, yet doesn't get bogged down with a huge agenda. If you are looking for something meaningful to watch with you kids you could do much worse. Not What I Expected... However. - Arkanok
Here's the thing. I'm not generally into kids movies but someone BEGGED me to rent this movie because they said it was really good.
Initially, I was pretty bored with the movie, but then as it opens up a bit, it started to get better.
Later through the film, something happens (I won't say what) that is really sad.. It was unexpected and kinda shocked me...
Good for kids, okay for adults, I'd say give it a rent, but it's not worth a buy.
