Roman
Sometimes death is not so natural.
Tormented by his co-workers and trapped in a life of tedium, Roman's one pleasure is his obsession with the elusive beauty next door (Kristen Bell - Pulse, Fifty Pills). When a chance encounter goes horribly wrong, a moment of frenzied desperation triggers a chilling turn of events. As he teeters between deranged fantasy and cold reality, Roman's struggle to hide his grisly secret is further complicated by an eccentric neighbor (Nectar Rose, Serenity), who forces herself into his dark and tortured world. Lucky McKee stars in this menacing follow-up to his 2002 cult hit, May.

It's no "May" - Padre_Hypnos
McKee should stick to directing and Betis should stick to acting. I can only review the first 15 minutes of the this movie because that's how far I made it before getting bored stiff and had to shut it off. So the first 15 suffered from too little dialogue, too many close ups and it was soundtrack happy with countless songs with lyrics. Plus it's shot and video. Maybe I'm just spoiled but a movie has to be very engaging to make me sit through something shot on video these days.Interesting - nw_kiff
Roman is interesting to watch, although the payoff may not fully satisfying. Lucky McKee is good in the title role, but the question remains why these women are attracted to Roman when he seems to possess no social skills whatsoever. Overall, a decent low-budget little thriller and character study that may interest those who don't require constant action and kills.meandering and pointless - Grossed
I am not sure why I rented this movie. I guess I must have read a bad review.
The acting is one dimensional, the plot is paper thin and unbelievable. There was no action whatsoever . The soundtrack was basically made up of a bunch of pretentious chick-band tunes. Technically; being filmed in DV it is alienating and cold. The editing is amateurish. Special effects are not at all that special.
The casting is the only redeeming quality in this work; the actors work with what they are given and they try hard. The few instances of ad-lib shine through. They would do well in any other film.
At best, this movie feels like a good first effort (for a high-school film class project), however as it stands it is below second rate.
Walk away from this one.
