I Think I Love My Wife
In marriage no one can hear you scream.
A successful investment banker with a beautiful, intelligent wife and two gorgeous kids at home, Richard Cooper (Chris Rock) would seem to have it all. Between the daily commute from the suburbs to New York City, the endless business meetings, the kids' diapers, and the Wiggles on TV, however, there's only one thing on Richard's mind: women. The women he sees on the commuter train in the morning, the women who walk the streets of Manhattan, the women he fantasizes about in order to alleviate the boredom of his mundane, routine life.
Happily married to Brenda (Gina Torres), Richard has no intention of cheating, until an old friend, the stunning Nikki (Kerry Washington), appears at Richard's office door, asking for help in landing a job. During lulls in his workday, Richard starts to meet Nikki for late lunches, and the banker's conventional life begins to turn upside down.

I thought this movie would be pretty funny when I saw Chris Rock was in it, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as I expected. Although a comedy doesn't need to be believable, I find it helps if you can relate to the things characters do on screen. Too many things happen in this movie that I just didn't buy and there weren't nearly enough laughs in it. I stil like Chris Rock, but not this movie.Had more potential! - Vickie
When a movie has to narrate everything and has to have captions for "home" and "work" you know a movie isn't going to be anything fantastic. The narration means that the actors can't act out the emotions and thoughts and the captions mean that they believe their audience is dumb and wouldn't know what a house of an office is? This movie did have a few funny moments but not enough to sustain it for the 1 1/2. Give this one a miss unless you are a huge Chris Rock fan.I think this movie is dull! - Cricri7
Chris Rock is one of the funniest comedians around. He is also an actor that wants to take control of his career so he bought the rights to a french film called "Chloe in the afternoon" and decided to loosely make a remake of this movie. The original one is a drama. The remake always goes back and forth between drama and comedy but never hitting the mark on one of them.
Chris Rock should have chosen one or the other. I am sure that he now has the capacity as an actor to make a drama, even if he is sooo funny! This movie lacks the depth of a drama and is not funny enough to be a comedy. It had everything to make a superb movie because he had the help of Steve Buscemi who is able to do both: drama and comedy. However, this movie doesn't hit the spot at all. Rent a show of Chris Rock if you want to see him at his best!
