Sharkwater
The truth will surface.
For filmmaker Rob Stewart, exploring sharks began as an underwater adventure. Driven by passion fed from a life-long fascination with sharks, Stewart debunks historical stereotypes and media depictions of sharks as bloodthirsty, man-eating monsters and reveals the reality of sharks as pillars in the evolution of the seas. Filmed in visually stunning high definition video, Sharkwater takes you into the most shark rich waters, exposing the exploitation and corruption surrounding the world's shark populations in the marine reserves of Cocos Island, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands. In an effort to protect sharks, Stewart teams up with renegade conservationist Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Their unbelievable adventure together starts with a battle between the Sea Shepherd and shark poachers in Guatemala, resulting in pirate boat ramming, gunboat chases, mafia espionage, corrupt court systems and attempted murder charges, forcing them to flee for their lives.

Before I watched this film, I had no idea that this industry even existed. This film really opened my eyes as to what was going on. It shows how tragic and inhumane the shark-fin industry is, and it is really all for superstition. The risks these film-makers took will also astound you. They are dedicated to getting the truth out, and it shows. Definitely a worthwhile watch.A must see movie - Cobata
This movie not only will change your perception of sharks, it will give you a wake up call to how the human race needs to change, before we wipe civilization off the face of the earth. This movie is very well done. You will gravitate towards the love of sharks, and you will find a new way of looking at the predators of the sea. I highly recommend this movie to all, its a documentary that gives a shock to the way we live our lives, and how we have to change the way we treat this world for the better. Most feared or most unknown - justmed
this is an excellent documentrary that combines stunning cinematography with an accurate portrayal of natures most feared animal, and sheds light on the falsehoods being spread with numbers and interviews.
With ignorance abound and Risking his own life to head back into a country as a wanted man in order to make a difference for the shark trade, he shows just how important the shark is to the ecosystem and how we must protect it and make others aware of their importance to us all.
