Classic 80's - sonnecat
The clothes, the hair, the slang... It'll take you back and make you cringe. It's a cliche teenage love story - falling for your social enemy - but its so well done you won't mind. Jon Cryer is perfect as Duckie, the loyal sidekick. I'll never listen to 'Try a Little Tenderness' without thinking of him. The soundtrack is a perfect compliment to the movie.Romantic Comedy - maebers
A young girl falls in love with a boy from the other side of the tracks. Problems occur when his peers think the object of his desires is socially beneath him. A very upbeat soundtrack keeps the movie flowing and helps you feel the atmosphere. Don't write this off as just another teen movie. Highly recommended.80's Classic!! - xsnrg
I think this is a must see movie....especially if you grew up in the 80's. Yes, it is similar to every John Hughes movie made in the 80's...but they are all brilliant...he does do a good job of portraying tennage life. In short, I highly recommend this movie to anyone intertested in watching a classic, not too complicaed movie that is sure to make you laugh.
