Night of the Comet
They came. They shopped. They saved the world!
It's the first comet to buzz the planet in 65 million years, and everyone seems to be celebrating its imminent arrival! Everyone, that is, except for Regina Belmont (Catherine Mary Stewart), and her younger sister Samantha (Kelli Maroney), two valley gals who care more about meteoric fashion trends than celestial phenomena. But upon daybreak, when the girls discover that they're the only residents of Los Angeles whom the comet hasn't disintegrated or turned into a zombie, they... well, they go shopping! But when their day of malling threatens to become a day of the mauling, these two val gals flee with both killer zombies and blood-seeking scientists in hot pursuit!

I don' normally zip movies from the 80's as the production values are similar to whats coming out of the rest of the world right now. If you've ever seen foreign SF or fantasy films you know what I'm talking about.
The two valley girls in this movie are funny and cute. Its a pleasure to watch beautiful women, even if they are getting chased by zombies. An essential '80s film many miss - eoguy
This is a great 80's classic zombie movie. I like that it isn't bloody and gory. It is just entertaining and funny at times. There are scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering who or what is around the corner!
A valley girl and her cheerleading sister are one of the few left on earth after a comet crashes into the earth. Why are they left? They were surrounded by steel! But there are also those left who weren't completely surrounded by steel which turns them into zombies.
A tongue-in-check zombie movie with a good story line.Tried to like it, but it falls flat - Shmoolix
I tried to like it. I have no problem seeing movies from the 80's and still being entertained. This one I loved the characters, but they didn't kick butt as much as I like. There father you hear about was in the miltary and that's how they know how to handle a gun, but it started to fall flat at the last battle. I just hope they make a re-make that gives it justice because I did enjoy the characters, but it just sad to see awesome characters in a dull script.
