Are We Done Yet?
New house. New family. What could possible go wrong?
Now married to Suzanne (Nia Long), Nick Persons (Ice Cube) has bought a quiet suburban house to escape the rat race of the big city and to provide more space for his new wife and kids Lindsey and Kevin (Aleisha Allen and Philip Daniel Bolden). But when his new home quickly becomes a costly "fixer upper" and he finds himself at the mercy of an eccentric contractor (John C. McGinley), Nick’s suburban dream soon becomes a riotous nightmare.

I have seen better movies and this one didn't make me laugh out loud at all. The movie was seriously predictable and the story line was meant to be funny but I have to give it two thumbs down since sometimes the sequels are good but this is not the case!Lame Comedy - kav2001c
Ice Cube has really lost his edge... lame comedy about the family now moving to middle of nowhere. They buy a (condemned) home from a real estate agent (who is also a city inspector, martial artist, dog trainer, contractor).
Most of the jokes are unfunny, and the screaming animals are very lame. And .... we're done! - Golden_Opportunity
Having read the 2 reviews here (one being rather negative and one on the high side), couldn't really decide if the movie is really worthwhile, so just had to zip it to find out. As a result, I'm sitting on the fence here (3 stars) just to balance out the other two reviews.
The movie is somewhat a cross between Home Improvement blended with a touch of The Great Outdoors. I've always liked Icecube (esp. in XXX II) and I think it did a creditable job in this movie.
This is a movie worth watching but not owning it. So, zip it, rent it, or buy it only if you see it being listed for less than $5!
