Slow Burn
The truth is just a trick of light.
Ford Cole (Ray Liotta) is a big-city district attorney with his eye on the mayor’s office and a big problem on his hands. One of his deputies, the beautiful assistant district attorney Nora Timmer (Jolene Blalock), has just confessed to killing a man in what she claims was self-defense. A bad situation gets worse when an enigmatic stranger named Luther Pinks (James Todd Smith) turns up at the police station to contradict Nora’s story and paint a very different picture of Ford’s talented colleague. With his career and perhaps his life on the line, Ford has a mere handful of hours to sort the truth from the lies in a saga involving Nora, a record store clerk (Mekhi Phifer), and a powerful gang lord.

OK but Not Great Movie - LoriOntario
This movie was OK but not great. It isn't a memorable movie.
It starts with a she said/he said rape investigation. Ray Liotta is trying to sort out what really happened to his co-worker/lover but new and confusing information keeps popping up.
The rape is part of a bigger conspiracy and hidden agenda that only becomes clear towards the last 20 minutes of the movie.
This is not the worst movie that I have ever seen, nor is it the best. If you are content to watch a movie that is just OK then rent this. What you might expect from actor line up - Jillybean
This was an alright movie but it is not one I would recommend to a friend and say you'll be on the edge of your seat. By midway through you are figuring it all out and then they start to through in the predictable twists and then another and another and in someway too many twists. Ray Liotta just can't get the big movies any more and what was with his hair?!? Some side profiles had his hair looking like Elvis and it just looked so fakey. LL Coll J is just that cool but note a top notch actor. A "B" movie production, but you could tell by the movie previews prior to the presentation...that often gets you prepared for what to expect!Slowly Burning Out - SubzeroMonkey
A fair suspence movie with some not bad actors and the crazy Ray! When the story starts to lag and just when you are about to fall asleep....BAM nude Jolene. In fact the pace of the movie seems to use her naked bod just to keep you interested (this is from a guy point of view my wife liked it). So if you want a good suspence look elsewhere...if you want to see nudity.....look elsewhere.
