28 Weeks Later
When days turns to weeks... the horror returns.
The terror and devastation unleashed in 28 Days Later picks up six months after the Rage virus has decimated London in this heart-stopping horror sequel that "surpasses the original" (Dallas Morning News). With order restored and the war against the infection won, the U.S. Army steps in to help repatriate Mainland Britain. But one of the returning refugees carries a terrible secret that threatens to reignite the deadly explosion of bloodlust, carnage and chaos. 28 Weeks Later ratchets up the thrills - "Hold on for a hell of a ride." (Rolling Stone).

You do not know if the start of the movie is a dream or really happening to the character. This sequal is very well done and is the equal of the first movie. The fast smart zombies are different to say the least and the effects are awesome. The story lins and the characters are well developed and you do root for all of them to make it out but alas things happen. So, another sequel... - Coconut_Willy
Where 28 Days Later was an interesting variation on the often made zombie movie, this sequel had very little chance to win any originality points but it could still be interesting. The storyline tries to be a logical continuation of the original which in itself is not too bad but I would tend to agree with other reviewers that the development/escalation makes very little sense. However, if you don't mind and can get over the plot holes and the apparently neverending series of bad decisions made by the people in charge of making sure the infection doesn't come back, this is quite entertaining. The cast is appropriate doing the expected acting job with a fairly average dialogue. The sets and locations are quite good, the soundtrack is very effective and the camera work is good enough although a bit nervous. There are numerous action scenes here and they are fairly well done. My only complaint would be that the editing is so hectic that it's difficult to see what is really happening and this is usually a sign that the special effects might not be that great. Recommended if you like the genre. It's All Over in the Blink of an Eye - Vanisle
28 Days Later was an incredible film, and its sequel was highly anticipated (at least by me). It's not a perfect movie, but 28 Weeks picks up where it predecessor left off. Many have called it a thinly veiled criticism of the American invasion of Iraq but really it is a depiction of the perils of rigid dedication to protocol. Britain has survived the plague and is on its way to recovery when all hell breaks loose. A measured, calm approach is called for but doesn't materialize. It is small details, small moments that determine the fate of thousands. Gripping and frustrating simultaneously, you just can't stop watching this film. Smart, scary and tense this series maintains a high caliber of entertainment. Good stuff.
