Big Nothing
They wrote the book on how not-to-be criminals.
Charlie is an ex-teacher turned reluctant call-center employee who gets fired on the first day. Distraught and unable to provide for his family, he partners up with Gus, an aspiring scam artist, on a seemingly snag-free plan to make some cash: blackmail Reverend Smalls, a man of the cloth, who has frequently turned up in a database of visitors to illegal adult websites. With the help of Gus' ex, a one-time pageant queen, the plan moves ahead... but it all goes wrong as Reverend Smalls dies, thanks to this trio. And that's just the beginning of their troubles... Big Nothing stars David Schwimmer (TV's Friends, Duane Hopwood) and Simon Pegg (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, The Good Night).

Fun movie, but not great. - SStones
The story is not terribly original and is as amateurish as the characters are supposed to be. There are several amusing lines and scenes throughout, keeping the show entertaining and moving it along, though if you don't appreciate dark humour, this is going to be awfully long.
Pegg is great, but that's my bias speaking. This is not his greatest, it is far from his comfort zone of zaniness aimed at nerds. (Yes, if you like Hot Fuzz or Shaun of the Dead, you might be a nerd).Simon Pegg! - DoubleDownAgain
I liked, but didn't love, this film. If only for Simon Pegg. Him playing an American didn't seem quite right at first, but he was great in this movie, worth seeing for him alone.
The plot itself has been done many times before, the inept first time criminals screwing up at every turn, but somehow doing enough right not to blow it all. The editing was different, at times it worked but other times it just tried to hard. David Schwimmer was well cast and was solid in his role. This is the first time I have noticed Alice Eve, but she was fun to watch and played her character well.
I'd give it a solid recommendation to anyone that loves Simon Pegg or those that like comedy/heist movies. Most of the comedy is also pretty dark so some scenes I found funny might fall flat for people with less twisted senses of humor. What to say, what to say... - Padre_Hypnos
I love Simon Pegg, but I don't love David Schwimmer. But Pegg won out so I gave this a try. I'm not sure what I was expecting and I'm not sure what I got. The plot twists aren't twisty enough, the characters switch back and forth from being outlandish to almost realistic so it's hard to know if this is a comedy or drama.
I guess if you're a Pegg fan, you can see this to keep up to date on your Pegg movies, but don't hold your breath waiting for it in the mail.
Oh yeah, Mimi Rogers has an even smaller role in this than she did in Ginger Snaps.
