I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
They're straight as can be but don't tell anyone.
Chuck Ford (Adam Sandler) and Larry Allensworth (Kevin James) are the pride of their fire station: two guy's guys always side-by-side and willing to do anything for each other. Salt-of-the-earth widower Larry wants just one thing: to protect his family. His buddy Chuck also wants one thing: to enjoy the single life.
Grateful Chuck owes Larry for saving his life in a fire, and Larry calls in that favor big time when civic red tape prevents him from naming his own two kids as his life insurance beneficiaries. All that Chuck has to do is claim to be Larry's domestic partner on some city forms. Easy. Nobody will ever know.
But when an overzealous, spot-checking bureaucrat becomes suspicious, the new couple's arrangement becomes a citywide issue and goes from confidential to front-page news. Forced to improvise as love-struck newlyweds, Chuck and Larry must now fumble through a hilarious charade of domestic bliss under one roof. After surviving their mandatory honeymoon and dodging the threat of exposure, the well-intentioned con men discover that sticking together in your time of need is what truly makes a family.

I know the first impression when you think of an Adam Sandler "Happy Madison" movie, you will have to think "not funny", but this one is surprisingly "not bad". I would possibly rank this film Adam's second best movie behind The Wedding Singer.
Jessica Biel is in this movie and plays a nice and touching role. The ending is somewhat weak. It's one of those movies where Adam's character pretends to be gay in order to receive benefits. It's similar to "The Ringer", where Johnny Knoxville's character pretended to be mentally disabled in order to win in the Special Olympics to save his friend from having his fingers permanently cut off.
In my opinion, if you want to see a good "deception-romatic-comedy" movie, I'd definitely pick "The Ringer" over this one. This one has some gags that are funny and work for me, which is why I gave it 3 stars on this zipped movie.
I was actually surprised that I would like it because I was expecting a typical un-funny Adam Sandler flick. The movie runs just a little under 2 hours - longer than a typical 90 minute comedy. The only other comedy movies that run that long are those produced by Judd Apatow.
If you loved the movie, then the DVD will be jam packed with making-of featurettes (which I sat through). To top that off, you will have two full length audio commentaries: one from Adam Sandler, Kevin Smith, and the Director - and the other with the director alone.
If you want a pretty good comedy to sit through on a lonely night or during a night with friends, you can check this one out if you would like to :)I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY - FRISCOSAURAS
Kevin James performance is good and Sandler is great. The gay spin on this movie makes it unique for a movie with Sandler in it. At first I doubted if it could actually cut the mustard but I must confess, this movie kept all my friend's attention. Well done boiz!usual adam sandler - fsavoie
If you've seen other adam sandler movies this one is no different. Funny, but not that much this movie is light heart. Some great moments but nothing more. There is a little depth in the gay right fighting that is good. There is a lot of gay joke, but they are with good taste and not offensive (in my opinion).
