Mr. Woodcock
Everyone takes PE. Few Survive.
As a chubby 7th grader, John Farley (Seann William Scott) and his friends were helpless against the most evil man on the planet - their P.E. teacher, Mr. Woodcock (Billy Bob Thornton).
Flash forward years later - John, now successful, thin and able to do a pull-up, returns to his hometown only to discover that Woodcock is still in his life... and dating his mom (Susan Sarandon)! John vows to do whatever it takes to stop their relationship, but Woodcock has plans of his own - and they don't include losing.
It's a face-off of outrageous proportions in this no-holds-barred comedy co-starring Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler and My Name Is Earl's Ethan Suplee.

Although many reviews of this movie were terrible I didn't find it so much. Was it a comedy...no not really. It was just a story. If you were going in looking for lots of laughs well I don't think you'd get it. I'm not a huge fan of Billy Bob Thornton but the role in this movie suited him. A decent story with good backlines of an adult trying to get through after what happened after a terrible experience in school. Not bad.No laughs - pezpimp
We saw a preview for this in one of our other rentals and thought it looked funny. We should have stuck to the preview only as it was funnier then the movie. There are points were you are expecting a laugh but it never arrives. The jokes are all easy to predict and don't follow through, simply one line, unthoughtful cliches. If you think it looks funny, think again.Gym Class-less - AandW
Sean William Scott (Dude Where's My Car) is a man that comes back to his home town to receive the Corn Cob Key (for his success as a self help author) from the mayor only to find out that the gym teacher that tormented him in junior high is dating his mother (Billy Bob Thornton - Sling Blade & Susan Surrandon - Bull Durham). He does every immature thing possible to break them up rather than just be honest with his mom and telling her what actually happened. Of course it backfires and he only ends up hurting his mother.
