Resident Evil: Extinction
All Bets Are Off
Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti), to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strength, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

Good movie, and definitely good zombie flick - Lizard_King
Once again resident evil, rise up to the occasion, if you are a fan of the series, and even the video game you will appreciate this movie. To me it seems to be a great progression between the movies, and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. The cinematography is probably the best of the series. My only disappointment are probably the extra included on this disc, it seems like they just piece together part of interviews, but if you don’t care about extra then this is not an issue.enjoyable zombie action - gonz1234
I enjoyed this far more than I was expecting to, probably because I don't really like horror films and was expecting that this film might go more towards the suspense side rather than the kick-butt action side. Happily not the case and the outcome is pure entertainment from my standpoint.
The movie is very violent with disturbing images but what suspense there is, is quicky resolved and punctuated by satisfying butt kicking on the part of the heroin and others.
The special effects were good and for the most part seamless. The sound in this movie has a huge dynamic range, loudness is used for dramatic effect so don't set the initial volume too high for dialogue because the effects volume is much much higher.
Milla Jovovich does a great job with her character, I thought generally it was well acted.
One thing I didn't like was that all the female characters were in perfect full makeup (one even shown applying makeup) and this is supposed to be some sort of post-apocalyptic era after the world is taken over by a zombie-creating virus. I though it a bit strange that they would be hauling around a five year supply of cosmetics when on the other hand they are running out of food and fuel. Similarly, every single character had perfect hair like they stepped out of a salon. In the opening scene, Milla wakes up lying on the floor with perfect hair; like the researchers hatched her and before running her through the tests, they had a hairstylist go over her first. Apparently, not looking good would taint the results. That said, Milla looked pretty hot as she always does.
So four stars for me for the pure entertainment of it all.Expect Two Things - Bodybag109
You can pretty much expect two certain things from the Resident Evil franchise: a healthy dose of dumb and Jovovich getting naked. Fun zombie action is not necessarily guaranteed!
The third entry in the series doesn't surprise you with anything good. But then it again, it isn't a groaning train-wreck like "Apocalypse".
Mulcahy, the director, does a much better job of keeping the film together. The script, written by (surprise) Paul W. S. Anderson, is still numbingly stupid in places... but not bad in others. You still have a series of action set pieces, but they're not too shabby!
Of course, things "making sense" don't often take priority over blasting zombies. Alice just happens to be wandering in Nevada and just happens to stumble across Carlos and the rest. The Umbrella Corporation still stubbornly insists on pursuing its evil research while the whole worlds' infrastructure collapses... but hey, at least we have ninja-zombie-blasting action to distract us!
