The Kingdom
An elite FBI team sent to find a killer in Saudi Arabia. Now they have become the target.
FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) has just received the assignment of his career: assemble an elite team (Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper and Jason Bateman) and go to Riyadh to hunt down and capture the terrorist mastermind behind a deadly attack on Americans working in Saudi Arabia. The feds have only one week to infiltrate and cripple a cell bent on jihad to western society.
No training could prepare Fleury and his team for the disorienting culture shock they face once inside this scorching foreign land--a byzantine maze of profiteering politicians and storefront terrorists. Bound by handlers who refuse to play ball with the U.S., the agents quickly find the local law enforcement more hindrance than help and soon grow uncertain of anybody's allegiance.
But when a sympathetic Saudi police captain helps them navigate Riyadh politics and investigate the true cause of the attack, Fleury finds an unexpected comrade-in-arms. In their lightning fast attempt to crack the case, the partners' search leads them straight to the killers' front door. Now in a fight for their own lives, two teams on opposite sides of the war on terror won't stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.

Kept you on your feet for sure! This cast was wonderful together, great team, great action and adventure and drama. Very brilliantly put together. It was a fast paced, entertaining, exciting movie that was at times very touching also. I would definitely reccomend and suggest for anyone to watch. Even if not normally a fan of war type movies. Great story, and amazing cast! The Kingdom - sickle
This was an enjoyable watch, nothing earth shattering, but it kept me glued to the screen the whole way through.
The plot kept this moving through the whole movie, and I found there to be a nice mix of plot builing/character development vs straight out action.
My only complaint was that out of 5 main charaters, only 2 were really highlighted. It would have been nice to have the build up of those other 3 characters, so you cared a bit more what happened to them during the end of the movie.
All in all, definitly worth the watch, it's a good action thriller.Clever and insightful - banana403
A few scenes standout to me in The Kingdom. The initial attack that sets the plot for the entire movie was very disturbing. Not in the graphic and gory sort of way, but more because I have friends that work in the Middle East for oil companies. I was always aware that the Middle East was a dangerous place, but to see the attack play out the way the did, and the plain objective of the attackers is a disturbing thought.
The ending provides a grim outlook for the conflict, showing the perpetual cycle of emotion that runs deep on all sides of the conflict. To me, the last 2 minutes of the movie was probably the most eye opening of all.
