I found Dr. Giggles really boring - I used to love it when I was younger and I was excited to revisit it. Overall though, I was mostly just bored and wanted it to end. There was lots of recognizable faces (Doug E. Doug, Nancy Fish, Glenn O'Quinn, Holly Marie Combs, etc) which was kinda fun, but in the end it was all very tiresome. Too bad too, because Larry Drake was really good as good ol' Giggles - he was genuinely creepy in some scenes, and the laugh was really effective without being "too much." Oh well, better luck next time. Great video box art though.Too Bad About That Title - Craigo
This is one of the better slasher films from the 90's (a decade that really didn't know what to do with slasher movies until Scream came along). The title hurts the film and brands it as a parody or spoof, when in fact it's the real deal; deadly serious much of the time, only tongue-in-cheek here and there, and with a nasty edge that allows for some jaw-dropping moments that are pretty ghoulish. Great locations (creepy house, local carnival etc.) give it a bigger-budget feel than most. And because it admits to being a little above the serious material being presented on the screen, it's easy to forgive any far-flung moments that add to the satire--and there definatly are some of those.Dr. Giggles - julianrjh
