Days before his 21st birthday, William, a young actor, meets and falls quickly and madly in love with Sara, a seductive yet skittish singer/songwriter. The film follows William as his affair takes him from a Lower East Side tenement to a Mexican hotel room and through the emotional extremities of passion, rage, and need. Yearning for someone to love him back, William's journey forces him to come to terms with his own past and the father he barely knows.

Not worth the time!!! - fancface
I do have to say this movie was not worth the time it took to watch. Lack of character development and hard to follow story line. Truthfully I found the short film by Ethan Hawke in the special features menu more entertaining than the actual film and they were pretty much based on the same plot.
