Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Unrated, Uncut, & Uncalled for!
Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the '70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone (Applegate), Ron is willing to play along at first-as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other "female" interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it's more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons... it's war.

Classic Will Ferrell - CraigerB
This movie is classic Will Ferrell. You can leave your brain at the door with this one and enjoy some mindless, vulgur humour. As always Paul Rudd is pure genius and Steve Carell plays dumb like he was born that way. This might not be one for the gals though as my girlfriend can't understand why I liked it so much, needless to say she thought it was terrible. I had to inform her that this is no Sophie's Choice. I can watch this over and over.Hilarious - andy3
This could be Ferrels best, its so well done, the whole 70's look with the tash and hair is brilliant. The rival news teams and the street fight, their silly sign offs, Steve Carrel is amazingly funny and the sexist pot shots are hilarious. So un-pc but thats the point hahaha the way in which Ferrel acts and delivers his lines are perfect for the part, he makes the movie you can believe newsreaders are actually like this. The rest of the cast are so good too, they all look just right, very good.

I love this movie. Definitely one of my all time favorites. So many classic lines. I think if you like this movie you'll often find yourself quoting the lines with other fans and laughing everytime. It's not brilliant comedy, it's just plain silly comedy. Will Ferrell's best job as the classic loveable loser character. This one you can watch over and over.
