I thought this was actually well done. This was from the guy that we all know from 300, but this rom-com was actually one that people of all ages may like because it wasn't completely predictable and had an edge to its comedy. I would recommend that people check it out if you haven't already.
Actually I think I got mixed up from another Gerard Butler movie. I don't remember that title though. Sorry.bleh - tylerwharper
This movie was boring.
Fifteen minutes into it, I figured out the plot and what the ending would be.
And I didn't care what the end would be.
I didn't understand her relationship with her husband. They didn't get along except for sexually. Is that what relationships should be based on?
Who watches movies like this?!Guilty Pleasure - Pourlemoment
I was very ambivalent about this movie because I couldn't really see Hilary Swank as a romantic lead. Don't get me wrong, I do think she's a talented actress and enjoy many of her movie, but she seemed a bit too intense for this type of movie. I did end up renting it because I love Gerard Butler and I did not regret it. Yes, Hilary is just as intense as she always is, but it works. The story, although I would call this behaviour crazy in real life, works wonderfully well in the context of the movie. If you want to see a really good "chick flick" with great acting and an original story line, don't hesitate, rent this one... but better wait until your boyfriend/husband is away so you can sight, cry, laugh and drool in peace!
