The Bucket List
You only live once, so why not go out in style? That's what two cancer-ward roommates, an irascible billionaire (Jack Nicholson) and a scholarly mechanic (Morgan Freeman), decide when they get the bad news. They compose a bucket list - things to do before you kick the bucket - and head off for the around-the-world adventure of their lives. Sky-dive? Check. Power a Shelby Mustang around a racetrack? Check. Gaze at the Great Pyramid of Khufu? Check. Discover the joy in their lives before it's too late? I>Check!
Under the nimble direction of Rob Reiner, the two great star provide the heart and soul, wit and wiles of this inspired salute to life that proves that the best time of all is right now.

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are an unlikely duo at the beginning of the film as their characters are so different, but that is where the magic begins. These two strong on screen personalities merge their talents together in this touching story about living life to the fullest. Neither overpowers the other and I truly enjoyed watching their friendship grow as they explore fulfilling their bucket lists. Their adventure is often touching and is great to fun to watch.Touching Story - Goldzgirl
I loved this movie! 2 great actors, and I don't know what took me so long to see it. Jack Nicholson is a riot as usual and Morgan Freeman is just a sweetheart. The 2 compliment each other wonderfully. This tale really pulls at the heart strings and I'm not a crier :p
This movie is worth the watch!Worthwhile - alstromeria
An uncomfortable subject handled with style and a great sense of humour.
Yes, there is an element of predictability: Jack Nicholson is a seedy old bastard of a human being, as he has been for decades. Morgan Freeman is an introspective and duty-bound family man, again, as he has been for decades.
But that's where it ends.
Both actors breathe new life into these characters and in spite of the fact that I've seen them both before, I'm kept guessing about the outcome. Neither of those characters have ever had to face their own mortality in such a visceral way. Director Rob Reiner's great sense of pacing keeps the audience laughing through any tears that might be shed.
Sean Hayes' performance as Nicholson's assistant was an unexpected treat.
