The Bucket List
You only live once, so why not go out in style? That's what two cancer-ward roommates, an irascible billionaire (Jack Nicholson) and a scholarly mechanic (Morgan Freeman), decide when they get the bad news. They compose a bucket list - things to do before you kick the bucket - and head off for the around-the-world adventure of their lives. Sky-dive? Check. Power a Shelby Mustang around a racetrack? Check. Gaze at the Great Pyramid of Khufu? Check. Discover the joy in their lives before it's too late? I>Check!
Under the nimble direction of Rob Reiner, the two great star provide the heart and soul, wit and wiles of this inspired salute to life that proves that the best time of all is right now.

I had heard this was a good movie before I saw it and while it wasn't the best of the best, it was a pretty good watch. Freeman and Nicholson always give good performances and do so again. You knew that with the story line it would be touching and a bit of a tear jerker and that's exactly what it was. There were a few scenes here and there that were a little unbelievable or on the cheesy or predictable side, but if you got beyond those it was a pretty good movie.Last Words - ABC99
Whether you like the bucket list is whether or not you take well to being manipulative. I felt moved in moments and insulted by others. In the end The Bucket List just feels dishonest. Dishonest about illness, losing you family, fulfilling you dreams, being lonely, and friendship. Two great actors are kind of mailing it in here, and they are still kind of great but in the end I just never felt a true or genuine not herePredictable, but good - dural78
Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson give good performances in a pretty good movie. While it is predictable, it is still quite enjoyable.
Both characters are diagnosed with terminal cancer, and have only a few months left to live. They decide to make the most of their remaining time. Nicholson and Freeman play likeable, if clichéd characters. Nicholson plays to his strengths as a thrill seeking eccentric billionaire that's been married 4 times. Freeman plays an faithful, honest blue collar mechanic that is the definition of a family man.
While it's nothing ground-breaking, it's enjoyable nonetheless.
