Definitely, Maybe
Three Relationships. Three Disasters. One Last Chance.
From the makers of Notting Hill and Love Actually comes the charming and irresistibly funny romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe. When Will (Ryan Reynolds) decides to tell his daughter (Abigail Breslin) the story of how he met her mother, he discovers that a second look at the past might also give him a second chance at the future. Co-starring Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz and Isla Fisher, it's the heartwarming story that makes you realize it's definitely never too late to go back... and maybe find a happy ending.

The characters seemed to be a little bit drab, two of the three women who may be the mother just seem to scratch the surface and the only other option is perhaps the love of his life. We didn't laugh or cry just got really bored, if you're looking for a laugh don't waste your time, if you want to see Ryan as caring father, go for it.Cringe ... - fakewindow
This was not a bad movie. I realize I gave it 2 stars, but that's because I couldn't bring myself to give it 3 (I wish zip.ca had "half stars" like flixster). It had moments of charm, an interesting plot that always kept you wondering what would happen next, but much of the plot is politically central and ... I dunno ... I feel like anytime characters try to exhibit socio-political competency in a RomCom, it just makes me feel like I want to vomit.
I think Definitely, Maybe wanted to be a lot intellectual than it actually was, and you know what, when making a Romantic Comedy, just realize that your only job is to make some goofy feel-good schlock. And I guess there just wasn't enough of that for me.Look, I know love isn't a fairy tale - blissful_muse07
This was a sweet story about a father named Will who begins to reminisce about his 3 main past relationships with his daughter while changing the names, so she can figure out who her real mother is and to help her understand his upcoming divorce. In the process of sharing these feelings, Will begins to learn more about himself. Each woman in the film serves a purpose in Will's life, and there is a comforting realization that he was truly meant to be with one of them. The pace of the movie allows for a wide range of emotions to flow out. The father daughter bond is undeniable between Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin and just shows how it's never too late to revisit the past in order to build a beautiful future.
