Not bad for a direct-to DVD movie. - moviegenius
I thought that this film was cute and entertaining. I thought that the dogs were really sweet and cute. Also, I thought that the dogsled race scene was done pretty well and I liked how the dogs stopped racing for their mean master who was always yelling. It sure isn't an Oscar winner, but it's a good film for the whole family. How cute - Dikirk
Listen, this movie will never get a 5 star, but for the purpose it has, it does the job well. Cute puppies, bad guys, kid that saves the day - all the right family stuff you would expect. And My full-grown golden retriever was FACINATED by the puppies! So if you don;t rent it for yourslef, at least let you dog watch a good flick!Great for the kids, but.... - hisadan
The movie was fantastic for what it is intended. That is drawing giggles, and "...awww isn't that cute..." comments from the kids and mom. I have no beefs with that as when you rent it, you should expect it to be a template storyline and nothing more. I am bothered though to find out that 5 puppies died for health reasons during the filming.
Whether their use in the movie was the main cause or not, it certainly sounds like it was a contributing factor. I can't quite watch it with the same "cute" thoughts any longer.
