Hudson Milbank (Matthew Perry) is convinced that he’s going insane. But he’s just met the perfect girl (Lynn Collins, The Lake House) and struggles to be his most charming self. Meanwhile, he frantically seeks a cure for his anxieties and goes through a string of therapists who turn out to be crazier than him. Co-starring Kevin Pollak (The Usual Suspects) and Mary Steenburgen as a hilarious lusty psychiatrist, Numb will warm the heart of anybody who has ever teetered on the edge of a breakdown.

Difficult to get through... - anwallette
This was a hard movie to watch...not because of the content but rather the pace of the movie. There were funny parts, but those were few and far between.
Matthew Perry is stiff and awkward in this role and there is no chemistry between him and Lynn Collins. He works towards feeling better and explores the world of psychotropic drugs through various therapists.Matthew Perry is Great in Everything. - ploox
This is a good film. Perry is a fabulous actor and shows a different side of himself here. The story is very unique which was a good thing because it kept me very interested throughout. It was also very smartly shot, and and smooth edits. It got pred ictable and didn't keep my interest as much as I would have liked. As well it got very repetitive, which made the movie feel a little bit tiresome. I still found the good over-shadowed the bad here and was pleased with this straight to dvd release.NOTHING SPECIAL... - Ricardo
and it just confirms that although Matthew Perry is not the worst actor in the world, he is also not one of the best either. It's very difficult to carry a movie mostly alone and even more difficult when you play yourself and the 3rd party narrator. Perry wasn't bad at it, he just wasn't good either. As for the script, it was plain weird, at times mixing the real suffering of someone with a mental disorder with the joke other people make of it.
Would not recommend it unless you have nothing better to watch.
