Shine a Light
On April 4, 2008, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker and the world's greatest rock n' roll band will unite to bring audiences the year's most extraordinary musical film event, Shine a Light, to theaters everywhere.
Martin Scorsese's concert documentary Shine a Light will show the world the Rolling Stones as they've never been seen before. Filming at the famed Beacon Theatre in New York City in fall 2006, Scorsese assembled a legendary team of cinematographers to capture the raw energy of the legendary band.
Includes guest appearances by Christina Aguilera, Buddy Guy and Jack White III.

J'aime les Stones mais je n'en suis pas fou. J'aime les films musicaux et même ceux parfois de bands que je n'apprécie pas particulièrement. Mais dans le cas de Shine a Light, j'ai trouvé ça plutôt ordinaire. Le 5% d'entrevues et de passages hors-scène est intéressant, mais c'est 5%. J'aurais peut-être préféré un spectacle devant 100 000 personnes avec de la pyrotechnie au lieu de cette petite salle avec Bill Clinton et ses amis. Une chance que Jagger est une bête de scène.The Stones are great - Poet
Having The Rolling Stones and Martin Scorsese work together is a recipe for success. I really enjoyed this. Many great songs, some archive footage and some behind-the-scenes material that was truly interesting. The only fault I could find with this is that there wasn't enough. I could have taken more. More behind the scene, more archives and more songs.A day in the life... - docjay
Rarely do we get to see what a day in the life of a rock star really is. We've all heard the Rolling Stones, we've read the stories and seen them in the news. Now you can see what goes on behind the scenes. Well, we get to see some of it. I have no doubt that much was left on the cutting room floor, but it gives you some insight.
