Street Kings
Their city. Their rules. No prisoners.
Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) is a veteran LAPD Vice Detective who sets out on a quest to discover the killers of his former partner, Detective Terrance Washington (Terry Crews). Forest Whitaker plays Captain Wander, Ludlow's supervisor, whose duties include keeping him within the confines of the law and out of the clutches of Internal Affairs Captain Biggs (Hugh Laurie). Ludlow teams up with a young Robbery Homicide Detective (Chris Evans) to track Washington's killers through the diverse communities of Los Angeles. Their determination pays off when the two Detectives track down Washington's murderers and confront them in an attempt to bring them to justice.

I was not expecting much from this film after reading the Zip description, but I was greatly surprised. Although the Keanu Reeves' character of a drunk-cop-solo-mission-who-never-miss-a-shot is a little unbeliebable, the action scenes are great and the story line is interesting. I was surprised to see "Dr House" as an internal-affair detective - I believe he gave the best performance of the film.Police corruption - Spacey
This movie is similar to Training Day in many respects. A disgruntled and disenchanted police officer takes crime and punishment into his own hands only to find that things weren't as simple as he thought.
I enjoyed the acting on the part of Reeves. I think he did a great job portraying the angst that I would imagine someone in that position would face.
The locations chosen were great, and I think this movie worked well in the urban jungle. Not very believable...so what! - Cricri7
Street kings is a very complicated story about an out of control cop, played by Keanu Reeves, and the cops surrounding him in order to protect him. This movie has great actors that are well cast, Forrest Whitaker...Jay Mohr...and sadly Chris Evans who keeps his shirt on..snif..snif...
It may not be an excellent movie that could have had a run at the Oscars and the story is at times not very believable but it does a good job of entertaining us. That is what movies are for!
