Priceless is 60's glamour, visually breathtaking with a touch of slapstick humor making the french film an odd pairing but a great risk with film making.
Audrey Tatou is marvelous, sweet and coniving... and but most of all she's frightend of committment. The film isn't about fame and fortune as much as its about the true value of selfworth and unconditional love between two people. The storyline throws curveballs and offers a new take on passion and fullfilment. I loved every minute of this film. The best part is the ending- you don't get a typical american ending with 'happily ever after setting' or dumbing down complex emotions either.Funny! - RobBC
A beautiful gold digger meets her match when she crosses paths with a charmingly inept hotel bartender in this fluffy romantic comedy set on the beautiful Cote d’Azur. Irene is growing tired of her current sugar daddy when she mistakes penniless Jean for a playboy millionaire. Thus begins a hilarious comedy of errors resulting in Irene being dumped and Jean being fired. A year later Irene, with another sugar daddy in tow and Jean, now working as a waiter, again cross paths only this time she teaches him the fine art of sponging off others. It isn’t long before he’s snatched up by a wealthy widow...but his heart still yearns for Irene. Smart, funny and very French.like taking your own vacation - SirDrake
This movie exceeded my expectations. It is a light comedy slightly in the line of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels set in the south of France as a romantic comedy. The acting and scenery was superb and end the film in a relaxed feeling of having ended a nice vacation.
