A Masterpiece of Manipulation
Elizar Perla is a recently retired catburglar who has succumbed to the temptation of one final score. The target is David Gray, Famous for his collection of art and other rarities. Soon after the job, Elizar disappears, leaving his daughter Marty distraught. Desperate, Gray approaches Marty suggesting that her father will turn up as soon as the stolen artwork is recovered. She begrudgingly accepts the offer to help him locate the art, but all is not as it seems, as the rarest of stolen pieces has value beyond ordinary currency.

I watched this, like many others, only because Gina was in it. But, oh boy: it was truly a challenge to go through this one. The performance of every actor in this movie goes from bad to terrible. The plot is slow and predictable. Lighting, costumes, sets, make-up, props and editing were all so poorly executed that they made the whole movie look like a freshman's film-school assignment (yes, including the low-budget feeling). The only good thing about this DVD is that you can watch the bonus material and have a laugh at the "three levels" that the director believes this movie has. If you are not a Gina's fan, avoid it like the plague.Hmm... - Bruster
Well I only rented this because I like Gina Gershon. I have to say if she wasn't in it, I never would have made it through. The story was pretty slow to develop and once it did get going, it was bland and predictable. The ending was similarly predictable but nevertheless I did enjoy it. This movie should Definitely be low on your list of must sees.
